LABOUR
SAVING
The use of hose-reel irrigation machines involves a
minimum employment of labour for hectar per year, proportioned to the
different kind of irrigation from cultivation to cultivation, which is
surely lower in preparation and management both of drip-system and other
equipments with fixed sprinklers. The tests made on compared equipments
showed that the management of a hose-reel irrigation machine involves
a very low yearly medium employment of labour, equal to 3-6 hours per
hectare, whilst drip-systems require medium labour varying between 28-40
hours per hectare.
